Paris Hilton's boyfriend River Viiperi was taken down the ski slope at Lake Tahoe on a stretcher on Sunday, prompting the star to take to her Pheed blog to discuss how afraid she was for her injured lover's safety.

"Such a scary day on the slopes today," Paris wrote. "After seeing the gash on @RiverViiperi's leg, I almost passed out. I have never seen a cut that deep in my life. He is so brave, I can't even imagine the pain he went through today."

Yet if Hilton's post seemed to express genuine concern for her boyfriend's health, the accompanying photos undercut the sex symbol's message a bit.

In one photo, Hilton is seen making her trademark pouty face as Viiperi gives her the thumbs up from a stretcher.

In another shot, Paris pouts her trademark luscious lips with seemingly sarcastic concern as her boyfriend has his leg elevated in a hospital gash.

But the irony was lost on Viiperi, who received 19 stitches in his leg for the nasty ski injury.

"I had to stitch my leg yesterday because of what happened to me while we was skiing," Viiperi tweeted. "But I'm better now and thanks to my lovely @ParisHilton who always taking such a good care of me."

Daily News reader Riggimortis believes Viiperi needs to wise up.

"It apparently takes a brainless male to date an equally brainless Paris Hilton," he wrote on the publication's website. "It's a good thing she inherited a fortune. She wouldn't survive poor with her and lack of brains and talent.

Reader Annef is equally unimpressed.

"Idiot Paris," Annef writes. "Head tilt, pout. Head tilt, pout."
