David Spade Cast In ABC Comedy Pilot Bad Management Alongside Rachael Harris, Sharon Horgan

David Spade has been cast to star in ABC's new comedy pilot, Bad Management. Spade will be joined by Rachael Harris of Wreck-It Ralph in the new Sharon Horgan comedy.

The show features a self-centered female boss at a high end luxury goods department store. The boss finds her ways challenged when the boss's son, played by David Spade, comes to town and makes youth and sex the new focus of the company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Spade will play Tobias Eastmore Jr. in the single-camera pilot. He is the heir to the luxury store, and has the reputation of a womanizer. He has failed launching his own businesses and is, in short, a brat.

David Spade's co-star Harris, who also appeared in New Girl, USA's Suits and Happy Endings, will portray Linda, boss Eve's best friend and colleague at the store. Linda has a history of making bad career and romantic decisions, but is always optimistic.

In addition to acting as Eve, Horgan will write the script with her colleague from Dead Boss Holly Walsh and produce along with Aaron Kaplan.

Ben Taylor will direct the L.A. based pilot.

David Spade is in second position for the project, since he is still committed to starring in the next season of CBS's Rules Of Engagement, if it ends up being renewed.

Spade's current CBS show debuted in 2007. Spade plays a single bachelor who deals with the complications of dating, commitment and marriage with his friends' help.

Rules of Engagement is currently 'on the bubble', which means there is a 50-50 chance of it being renewed. If it is not, Spade will likely be confirmed for the project.

Spade is known for his work on comedy television shows, including Just Shoot Me, Saturday Night Live, and 8 Simple Rules, including his current Rules of Engagement gig.

He has also acted in films such as The Emperor's New Groove, Joe Dirt and Grown Ups.

The network has yet to announce an official release date.
