7 Siblings Missing From Fresno Found 'Unharmed' With Their Estranged Father

The seven siblings that went missing Saturday from their Fresno, California home were found unharmed with their father Thursday. After FBI task force launched an intense manhunt for five days they were eventually found safe with their estranged father.

"The children were unharmed and were all in good spirits," a Fresno Police Department spokesman said early Friday.

According to the reports, the seven siblings were left home alone while their stepfather and mother went to the store Saturday evening. The mother and stepfather returned from the store only to find that all seven children were gone, along with their belongings.

Investigators said they found no signs of forced entry and were believed to have been taken by their biological father. Police were unable to contact the father at that time.

Xa Yang was divorced from the children's mother and had not seen the children for years. He made contact with the family in December and requested to see his children but was denied.

Investigators didn't issue an Amber Alert as they did not think the children were in danger, said Fresno police Sgt. Jamie Rios.

FBI agents working with Sacramento and Fresno police located Yang and the children Thursday afternoon.

The father was not been detained and police are investigating to determine whether a crime was actually committed.

"Fresno and Sacramento PD will investigate further to determine if a crime was committed," he added.
