'Harlem Shake' On Frontier Flight 157 Investigated By FAA: See The 30-Second Video That Has Government Officials Up In Arms: [VIDEO]

Call it shakes on a plane.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a "Harlem Shake" video taken aboard Frontier Flight 157.

The "Harlem Shake Frontier Flight 157" video has received over 700,000 YouTube views since it was posted on February 15.

Colorado College's Ultimate Frisbee team allegedly shot the controversial clip while Frontier Flight 157 was cruising at an altitude of roughly 35,000 feet.

"That was my Ultimate Frisbee team and a bunch of random people as well," Colorado College's Ultimate Frisbee senior team captain Dan Eppstein told the Los Angeles Times. "Everyone who was on that flight joined in."

"It was totally safe," the 21-year-old added.

The FAA announced Thursday that they will be investigating "Harlem Shake Frontier Flight 157," according to the Los Angeles Times.

A spokeswoman for Frontier Airlines confirmed the FAA investigation.

"All safety measures were followed and the seat belt sign was off," she said.

The "Harlem Shake Frontier Flight 157" is the same video as the thousands of other 30-second clips that have flooded YouTube, ever since user The Sunny Coast Skate posted the original on February 2.

In the dorm room video, a lone dancer wearing a motorcycle helmet dances to Brooklyn trap and bass artist and producer Baauer's song "The Harlem Shake."

In what has been become the template for thousands of copycat videos across the globe, when the song reaches the line "do the Harlem Shake," everyone in the background, previously sitting around motionless, dances like the world is ending.

YouTube estimates over 12,000 "Harlem Shakes" videos uploaded to the site, with as many as 4,000 uploaded in one day. Together, the videos have received 44 million views.

The FAA's investigation of "Harlem Shake Frontier Flight 157" is not the first time the viral video craze has caused brushes with the law.

Last week a senior at Forest Hills High School in Queens was arrested for arranging a "Harlem Shake" flash mob, according to DNAinfo.

On Friday, 400 protestors gathered outside Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi's headquarters in Cairo and did "The Harlem Shake," according to The Daily Mail.

""Leave! Leave!" the protestors chanted.
