In-N-Out Cook Reddit Post Reveals Secret Menu

A recent "Ask Me Anything" post by an In-N-Out Burger cook on Reddit has revealed a secret after-hours menu.

For most customers, the popular West Coast fast-food chain offers a simple burger and fries menu. However, as die-hard fans can attest to, In-N-Out's popularity stems from its so-called "secret menu". These yummy concoctions range from animal style fries (fries covered in melted cheese, grilled onions, and In-N-Out's burger sauce) to the protein burger (a regular burger wrapped in lettuce rather than a bun).

However, the anonymous cook, who posted to Reddit under the username dravilla9, revealed even more tantalizing creations. He admitted that after In-N-Out closes for the night, he and the other cooks often stay behind to try out their original recipes.

One thing he admits to doing often, adding bacon. "Sweet Jesus it was the greatest thing I've ever had!" he wrote.

Some of his other food creations included adding beef and bacon to animal style fries, making donuts by frying a bun drenched in milkshake mix, and "a baked potato from Hell" (a cored potato filled with chopped burger patties, melted cheese, onions, chiles, and tomatoes then fried).

According to dravilla9, these mouth-watering meals are not likely to ever reach the public's mouths. In-N-Out requires the menu to stay the same, as stated in the company's bylaws. The cook did, however, encourage the burger empire's patrons to try adding their own ingredients.

Dravilla9 also claims that this special menu is not just for cooks. In-N-Out serves these delicious creations to other employees at their annual company picnic.

In his Reddit posts, the cook went on to admit he does not feel the nation is ready for the taste bud overload. "OMG if In-N-Out sold the chili dogs they give at the family picnics the world really wouldn't be able to handle it."

Later the In-N-Out cook brought up some of the lower points of working for the fast food franchise. According to him, the company has some very strict policies. Employees have been fired for having tattoos, tongue piercings, and for bringing beer to the company picnics.

In-N-Out, now led by Lynsi Torres, the youngest billionaire in the US, has deep religious roots and even goes as far as to discretely print Bible verses on cups and wrappers.

Dravilla9 did, however, note that In-N-Out workers earn very good wages, with starting salaries around ten dollars an hour and some managers making up to six figures with full benefits.
