Melissa McCarthy is slaying. America's favorite comedienne is about to make an even bigger name for herself in the 2016 reboot of the 1984 classic supernatural comedy film. In a behind-the-scenes photo, Melissa McCarthy was caught wearing the new "Ghostbusters" suit - and showing off her recent 50-pound weight loss!

The leaked photos show Melissa McCarthy on set in Boston looking ready to kick some ghost butt, in a revamped version of the khaki and orange ensemble.

In case you've been living under a rock and didn't already know, the reboot of "Ghostbusters" will feature an all-female cast - now you'll really know it's the 2016 version and not the one made in 1984!

In the photos, Melissa looks slimmer than ever, and that's thanks to her recent weight loss of about 50 pounds.

As we previously reported, McCarthy's weight loss is attributed to a high protein and low-carb diet, which has resulted in at least a 50-pound weight loss since the end of last year.

The 44-year-old recently said of her weight struggles, "Sometimes I wish I were just magically a size six and I never had to give [my weight] a single thought. It's something I'm always working on.

"I don't know why I'm not thinner than I am. I don't really drink soda; I don't have a sweet tooth, and we eat healthfully at home," she admitted to Good Housekeeping.

Looks like the work is paying off!

According to CNN, McCarthy has also said she wants to maintain a healthy lifestyle and body image for her two young daughters.

McCarthy married longtime boyfriend Ben Falcone on October 8, 2005. Their first daughter, Vivian, was born in 2007 and Georgette was born in 2010.
