Jeb Bush 2016 Run For President Likely: In Matt Lauer Interview Bush Talks Stance On Immigration Reform, Won’t Rule Out Future White House Run

A Jeb Bush 2016 run for the White House is looking likely, as the son of former U.S. President George H. Bush and the younger brother of Former President George W. Bush has said that he is not ruling out a possible 2016 run in the presidential election.

Jeb Bush, the former Governor of Florida, didn't deny that he may add to the Bush family's presidential legacy.

Bush said to Matt Lauer when asked if he would rule out running for President, "I won't. But I won't declare it today either."

In the interview with Matt Lauer, Republican Jeb Bush was speaking about his new book, which discusses the issues of illegal immigration in the US. Jeb Bush does not support a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

"Our proposal is a proposal that looks forward. And if we want to create an immigration policy that's going to work, we can't continue to make illegal immigration an easier path than legal immigration," said Bush.

"I think it is important that there is a natural friction between our immigrant heritage and the rule of law. This is the right place, I think, to be in that sense. Not to take away people's rightsm," he continued.

This has been a hot topic for some time. People are split down the middle of the argument. Some believe that illegal immigrants should be thrown out of the country; others say they can stay but should be made to pay taxes like every other citizen.

Bush has criticized the Republican Party for not taking a stronger stand on immigration reform. His book is called "Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution."

Bush has been appearing on television to promote the book and discuss various topics that affect Americans today.

On Tuesday, March 5, he will appear on CNN to speak with Jake Tapper.
