Lamar Odom Custody Case Hearing, He Falls Asleep on Courtroom Bench 'Need You To Sit Up'

The Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom is fighting to resolve a lengthy custody battle with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales, mother of former couple's nine-year old daughter and five-year-old son.

Odom was in court Tuesday morning and later fell asleep on a courtroom bench in the hallway as lawyers argued to work out his ongoing case behind closed doors in New York at Manhattan Supreme Court for an hour.

Odom is now married to former "X Factor" host and reality TV figure Khole Kardashian.

He asked the court to set "a reasonable child support amount to meet the actual and reasonable needs of the children," Destiny, 14, and Lamar Jr., 11

The 6-foot-10 athlete dangled over the short wooden bench for a nap to catch up on his sleep and was eventually woken up by a court officer.

"Excuse me, are you OK?" the officer asked Odom.

After the player said he was fine, the officer said, "I need you to sit up." Which he complied and rested his head on his hand.

The former couple began their custody battle in 2010, when Odom sued Morales to settle the dispute over child support, custody and visitation of the two kids.

"How could the man who'd constantly given me reason after reason for why we couldn't get married just yet now be ready to tie the knot so quickly?" Morales wrote Tuesday for the Daily Beast.
