Taylor Swift sells the house in Cape Cod, Massachusetts that she bought across the street from former beau Conor Kennedy's family's compound, according to E! News.

Rumors suggested that Swift's buying the house was what triggered her breakup with American political royalty Conor Kennedy.

Taylor Swift, in the midst of her relationship with Kennedy in the summer of 2012, bought the Hyannisport mansion for $4.8 million. The house that Swift is selling has seven bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms.

However, soon after beginning the purchasing process on the house, Conor broke up with Taylor Swift, saying he just wanted to finish high school.

Swift still bought the house despite the breakup, but she's selling it now for a profit. The Cape Cod Times reported that swift earned $875,000 by selling the mansion, which has its own private beach, for $5.67 million.

The real estate agent in charge of the property, Bob Kinlin, told E! News that a couple that had been eyeing the property before Swift made the initial purchase were the buyers. Swift's team reportedly made a few improvements to the house, including renovating the kitchen, bathrooms, and septic system, which explains the price increase.

Conor Kennedy's grandmother Ethel spoke fondly of Taylor, "I am happy that we'll all be neighbors...She is just spectacular," before the singer decided to sell.

Taylor insists that she only bought the house as a real estate investment. She told Vanity Fair it was intended to be a 'House-Flip'. She doesn't like people to assume that she was 'stalking' Conor Kennedy.

"People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like - that's a thing that I apparently do. If I like you I will apparently buy up the real estate market just to freak you out so you leave me," Swift sarcastically told the magazine.

Swift was spotted house hunting in London near Harry Styles' neighborhood before they split up earlier this year, according to Zap2It.
