Eddie Murphy is attempting to make the switch to TV in a CBS pilot of "Beverly Hills Cop."

The Wrap announced Wednesday that Eddie is planning to reunite with Judge Reinhold, for the television pilot of the 1980s cop comedy, "Beverly Hills Cop"
and its successful sequel, "Beverly Hills Cop 2."

Reinhold will reprise his role of uptight detective Billy Rosewood in the pilot, the straight man to Murphy's larger than life cop character Axel Foley.

"Usual Suspects" star and legendary Christopher Walken impersonator Kevin Pollak will also star in the pilot, which Sony Television is reportedly producing for CBS.

CBS representatives did not immediately respond to The Wrap's request for comment.

But don't worry, Eddie Murphy fans, the star still is reportedly accepting movie offers.

The announcement comes just a day after "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" star Danny Devito revealed to Radio Times that Murphy will star alongside him and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a sequel of the hit 1988 comedy "Twins."

"Arnold and I recently had dinner with Eddie Murphy and we all got along great so I think it will definitely happen with the three of us," Devito said Tuesday. "Universal have taken the reins so it's their movie. Whether it's called Twins 2 or Triplets hasn't been decided yet but I'd be up for doing it in a heartbeat. But I'm just so busy right now, I can't say when."

Although Devito and the former California governor might not see eye to eye politically, Devito says they always have fun working together.

"Arnold and I had a great time doing the original movie and we really dig each other, apart from our difference in politics," Devito said. "So we've had positive meetings about doing the sequel and encouragingly we found we still really have a good time together."
