LeBron James Wedding Date Set For Next September; King James To Marry High School Sweetheart

LeBron James's wedding date with high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson is reportedly set for the second week in September.

TMZ reported that it obtained a copy of "Save The Date," which instructs his friends to block out Friday, Sept. 13, through Sunday, Sept. 15 for the NBA star's destination wedding to fiancé Savannah Brinson in San Diego, Calif.

The "Save the Date" came with a fun caricature of the defending NBA champion and his fiancé, with their 2 children, each dressed in their finest wedding outfits, TMZ said.

LeBron James was known as a "high school phenom" and will now marry his high school sweet heart after an engagement that's been over a year. He proposed to Brinson New Year's Eve of 2011.

The couple has had two children together. They first had their eight-year old boy, LeBron Jr. in 2004, while King James was a rookie in the NBA. The second child is named Bryce Maximus and is a five-year-old boy.

LeBron made what became known as The Decision when he chose to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers as a free agent three years ago. He nationally televised his moment of signing with the Miami Heat in primetime with substantial fanfare.

From that point on, pressure mounted and James and the Heat would ultimately lose in the NBA championship finals that year.

Following the 2010-2011 NBA season, LeBron James sat down with ESPN's Rachele Nichols. He admitted that he wished he did things differently.

"It was one of the hardest times of my life. I Sat in my room for two weeks," LeBron said after the loss in the finals.

He said he wasn't comfortable being the "bad guy" with the fans. He said he used to have fun playing the game of basketball.

"The Vilian or whatever they call it was difficult and a challenging situation. You can feel the hatred from my departure," LeBron said.

He said he wished he had handled The Decision differently, but couldn't take it back, and only could learn from it and grow from there.

Last season, James led the Heat to an NBA championship, and named the Most Valuable Player of the finals, along with the regular-season MVP.

As of Thursday, the Heat are riding a franchise-high 16 game winning streak. LeBron James is on his way to a possible fourth regular-season MVP award and the real object of his desires, another title.
