Has Miley Cyrus split with Liam Hemsworth?

Cyrus was photographed by TMZ on Wednesday night without her custom Neil Lane engagement ring, in the wake of rumors that Hemsworth cheated on her.

"Miley still wants to get married," an inside source told People Magazine Thursday. "But the relationship is not without its issues. Miley and Liam have had some problems that they are working through."

Cyrus tweeted to her over 11 million followers Wednesday that she has not split with the "Hunger Games" star.

"I am so sick of LA and sick of the lies that come with it," Cyrus wrote. "I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining"

Yet neither of the two rings Miley had on her finger Wednesday night was the pop star's engagement ring.

"[Miley and Liam] have always had a very passionate relationship," the source adds. "They have a very strong physical attraction, but have very different personalities and backgrounds. This makes their relationship very complicated."

The source added that although Cyrus was upset at rumors that Hemsworth cheated, it is not why he is going to Australia.

"Miley is upset and angry about the cheating rumors," says the source of talk that began in late February. "Liam's trip to Australia was planned. He doesn't have a return date to Los Angeles yet."

Cyrus also tweeted Wednesday that she would soon silence all the rumors she split with Liam Hemsworth when her album drops.

"My new music is gonna shut everyone up," Miley wrote, adding "not discussing anything but my music from now on."
