Hulk Rumors Of Another Movie Is Answered By Marc Ruffalo, The Man Who Plays The Incredible One

Marc Ruffalo shot down rumors of an Incredible Hulk movie anytime soon.

"A lot of folks have been asking about the Next Hulk," Ruffalo Tweeted yesterday. "The next time you see my Hulk it will be in the 'Avengers2'. No plans for stand alone."

Avengers 2 won't be released until May 1, 2015, IGN reported from a statement by Disney/Marvel, which will produce the film. Fans will have to wait two years until the Hulk grows green on the screen again.

Ruffalo did not shoot down the idea of what could come after the 2015 release of Avengers 2.

"I am not giving up on another stand alone HULK," Ruffalo added. "But it's not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring."

A Hulk film hasn't been in theatres since 2008. During that film, known as "The Increible Hulk," Edward Norton played Dr. Bruce Banner, the man who plays Hulk before he's angered. Norton did not join the cast of "Avengers" to play Hulk, and was replaced by Marc Ruffalo.

The Incredible Hulk was a remake to "Hulk," which hit theatres in 2003. This installment starred Eric Bana. Ruffalo is the third Hulk in as many movies.

Ruffalo was part of the Avengers, which earned $207,438,708 in its opening weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. That statistics ranks the film at number one all time in that category.

When Disney/Marvel released the statement of a sequel for the Avengers, it was also announced that a television show was in the works for ABC as a live-action series. The Hulk could see television screens sooner than 2015.
