Tennis Champion Jennifer Capriati Facing Arrest Warrant For 'Beating and Stalking' Her Former Boyfriend, Ivan Brannan

The former tennis champion Jennifer Capriati is in danger of facing an arrest warrant for assaulting her ex-boyfriend Ivan Brannan at a gym in North Palm Beach Florida.

The incident at the gym happened on February 14, Capriati allegedly beat her boyfriend with her fists and then fled the scene when the police were called. Cops picked Capriati a few miles down the road from the gym.

26-year-old Ivan Brannan, Capriati's former boyfriend asked police to issue a restraining order because he alleges that Capriati had been stalking him. He says that Capriati had called his work over 100 times.

One of Capriati's lawyers released a statement to TMZ saying,

"There is no arrest warrant for Jennifer Capriati. The case between Ms. Capriati and Mr. Ivan Brannan has not yet been assigned in Palm Beach County and has not been reviewed. The current facts being circulated by Mr. Brannan are an over exaggeration and the police report is one-sided in Mr. Brannan's favor since they failed to get Ms. Capriati's side of the story."

Jennifer Capriati made her own statement regarding the alleged assault on Brannan. On Twitter she posted, "I pushed a man that was verbally assaulting me away from me. This man has been tormenting and abusing me for so long. The truth will prevail."

The 36-year-old former tennis star is no stranger to making headlines. In 1990 she was the youngest player to be ranked in the top ten of the Women's Tennis Association at age 13.
