Cops Killed Teen Gunman in Brooklyn, Witnesses & Police Accounts Differ, 'Running For His Life' [VIDEO]

Cops killed a teen gunman in Brooklyn Saturday night stating the boy pointed a gun at the two police officers.

Police said the two cops were on patrol with the Brooklyn South Anti-Crime Unit, came across a group of teenagers standing outside a house in the East Flatbush neighborhood.

Authorities say the 16-year-old Kimani Gray acted suspiciously as he broke away from the group when he saw police in an unmarked red car. The undercover officers identified themselves as they approached him.

According to the police Gray pulled out a 38-caliber revolver and pointed it at the officers, to which the police responded by firing 11 shots, hitting him several times in the body.

Police have not determined whether the teen fired his weapon. The revolver was loaded with four live rounds.

However eyewitnesses are telling a different story.

"He was running for his life, telling the cops, "Stop," said witness Camille Johnson. "They really are, seriously, walking around, shooting little kids."

One of Gary's friend alleged he was yelling at the police to stop as they opened fired, "he was screaming, 'Stop! I'm not running!'"

The neighbors confirmed the gunfire, "I heard a lot of shots, rapid fire, about eight shots," said one resident. "I heard the gun shots from my living room." One witness noted that Kimani did pull a gun on the officers.

Gary was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where doctors tried to treat his gunshot wounds in his leg and stomach, but was later pronounced dead. Both police officers were also taken to the hospital and treated for trauma.

Police noted Gray had a lengthy criminal record that included charges of grand larceny and inciting riot.

The police department placed the officers that shot Gary on administrative leave as they investigate the shooting.
