Vince Neil Hospitalized for Kidney Stones During Motley Crue's Australian Tour: Singer Rushed Off Stage To A Hospital In Sydney, Will Perform In Brisbane

Vince Neil, lead vocalist of metal band Mötley Crüe, was hospitalized for kidney stone inflammation Sunday night, cutting short their concert in Sydney.

"He was doubled over on his dressing room floor five minutes 'till show time and was told by the promoter to not even play, but Vince said he couldn't do that to the fans," guitarist Nikki Sixx told fans on his Facebook page. "I've seen Vinnie go onstage with broken bones, his voice completely blown out and torn ligaments but he never ever cancels... Just like an athlete you sometimes have to play through the pain, but last night it became to excruciating."

According to setlist.fm, the band was was nine songs into their set when Nikki announced Neil was in pain throughout the show and needed to be taken to the hospital.

"Just out of surgery. Spent night in hospital probably have to again tonight. Thank you all for the kind words and prayers." Neil tweeted hours later. "Huge thank you to all the paramedics at the All Phones Arena, the ambulance paramedics, the nurses, doctors and Staff.

Doc says I should have a full recovery and be back onstage for the Brisbane show tomorrow. Thanks to my bandmates and crew for your support!"

Mötley Crüe is scheduled to perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre Tuesday night with KISS on the groups' Australian tour.
