"The Bachelorette" star Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have shut down the breakup rumors by announcing their engagement.

In an interview with People, the reality star shared that she had no idea she could be so happy when she became engaged to her fiance.

"We have such an honest relationship. Every day I think, 'I picked the right guy,' " she said.

Kaitlyn Bristowe continued, "I went through a lot of challenges. But I found the person that I will be the happiest with, and that is worth it."

Personal trainer Shawn Booth said of "The Bachelorette" star, "She just makes me feel different, something that I've never felt before. It's what I've been looking for."

"We just want to do anything normal. Going out to dinner, just hanging out with our family and our friends," he said before Kaitlyn Bristowe quickly added, "And grocery shopping!"

Before the engagement was announced, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth's breakup was reported.

"It's really no surprise that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have already broken up, if you take in to consideration all of the drama that has went down on The Bachelorette during the last few episodes," Celebrity Dirty Laundry alleged.

"Not only did Shawn find out that Kaitlyn had sex with Nick Viall, but he let his jealousy get the best of him and has been acting like a total tool," it added.

The article continued, "Sources close to the former couple confirm that they are already not on speaking terms, their break-up was messy, and there is no way that Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe are EVER getting married."

Apparently, the producers of "The Bachelorette" wanted Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth to keep up appearances and deny the breakup at least right after the final rose ceremony.
