Judge Judy Sued Over A Set Of Dishes In Beverly Hills Kitchen Conspiracy

Judge Judy, the love-to-hate her TV judge, is reportedly being sued over some very expensive China she bought from one of her producers.

Judge Judy got a great deal when she bought a set of dishes, but the woman who used to own them claims foul play.

Judge Judy's producer, Randy Douthi, was going through an pretty nasty divorce from his wife, Patric Jones. The once happily married couple owned some rather expensive Christofle china. And when Judy purchased the tableware, Jones alleged a conspiracy was afoot.

Jones has since filed a lawsuit against Judge Judy suing her for the value of the tableware which she puts at a value of $514,421.14.

She is claiming the jurist and Douthit entered into some sort of fraudulent scheme in order to screw her out of her beloved china and flatware.

Beverly Hills attorney Perry Wander, who represents Jones, says Douthit sold Judy the goods for a meager $50,000, without his client's knowledge or consent.

Jones further claims that Judge Judy was part of her husband's revenge against her.

But that is not the end of the conspiracy, according to Jones. She goes on to claim that the producer also agreed to reduce his take-home from the Judge Judy show so he would not have to pay as much in the divorce settlement.

Jones is suing Judge Judy for either the china and flatware or asking her to pay the full value plus punitive damages.

In a statement to TMZ, Judge Judy addressed the issue.

"I have not seen any complaint by the former Mrs. Douthit, however, I don't owe this lady a cent. And if this 50-year-old woman would spend her time more productively at trying to find a job, instead of abusing the judicial system with frivolous lawsuits, we would all be a lot better off," said the judge (we can certainly guess what tone of voice she used when she said it, too!).

Whatever the outcome of the case may be, we can all agree that Jones has a lot of guts going after the TV personality with a short fuse and penchant for yelling.
