Miley Cyrus and fiancé Liam Hemsworth have split, according to a report released on Wednesday, March 13.

"Miley and Liam are done - it's over," an insider told the NY Post, confirming rumors that Miley and Liam split.

"She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem with him," the source close to Miley and Liam continued.

A different source claimed that Miley " is a fiery character, and they do fight, but she is crazy about Liam," and "isn't ready to accept it might be over for good."

23-year-old Liam Hemsworth "needed to get away from Los Angeles and spend some time with his brother and friend," a source told the Post.

Liam has been spotted in his native Australia with brother Chris Hemsworth, sister in law Elsa Pataky and neice India Rose, according to Radar Online.

Miley Cyrus has been working on her fourth album in Los Angeles where she has been spotted without her engagement ring, being driven around by a man that wasn't Liam.

Another insider said that while the couple has had some bumps in their relationship in the past, they are definitely broken up now.

"While Miley has insisted they are still together, right now they are very, very much apart" the source insisted.

Reportedly, Liam's flirtations with other women had Miley Cyrus paranoid that he was cheating on her, to the extent that she tweeted a denial that he was.

Liam was rumored to have had a romantic fling with Mad Men star January Jones.

On March 6, Miley vented on Twitter, "I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining"

Miley and Liam got engaged last May, when Liam asked Miley to marry him with a 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond ring.

Miley maintains that her new album will "shut everyone up."
