Jennifer Love-Hewitt was snapped in public for the first time since giving birth to son Atticus James five weeks ago. But the "Criminal Minds" actress made sure to wear loose clothing to hide her post-baby body.

"'The Ghost Whisperer' star wore a loose-fitting, brightly pattered kaftan to keep her cool, while also hiding her slim figure," said Daily Mail.

The British tabloid added, "She paired the striking garment with skinny jeans and wedged ankle boots, for a casual but stylish look. The brown-haired beauty wore her long locks loosely around her shoulders and finished off her outfit with a pair of dark sunglasses."

Jennifer Love-Hewitt and husband Brian Hallisay welcomed baby Atticus on June 24.

It's not clear if Jennifer Love-Hewitt will showcase her post-baby body on "Criminal Minds." The 36-year-old actress plays Kate Callahan in the series and her pregnancy was even written into the story. But she ultimately left after just one season to focus on her family.

In an interview with American Baby magazine, Jennifer Love-Hewitt talked about how grateful she is regarding her second pregnancy.

"I've been an actress for 25 years, and have had to be hungry at times for my career, so being pregnant is completely freeing," she said.

"When I was expecting Autumn, I ate everything I saw! I told myself, 'Oh there's a doughnut - I should have that.' Now with this second pregnancy, I know the baby really doesn't 'need it.' So I eat healthy foods in general, but I also indulge in little things that I crave."

Jennifer Love-Hewitt also talked about the pre- and post-baby body.

"Your body changes so much, and there's a sensuality about that," she said. "I say accentuate the fact that your legs look thinner than they ever have, and your boobs look great: Work it!"
