"Arrow" star Stephen Amell and pal Jared Padalecki of "Supernaturals" showed off their six-pack abs and muscular physiques, but it's all for a good cause.

According to Us Weekly, the friends displayed their abs and impressively honed muscles not for gratuitous display but to bring awareness and raise funds to support people suffering from depression.

Padalecki knows about depression first hand, as it is something he continues to battle to this day. He has started the "Always Keep Fighting" T-shirt campaign, and those who want to help may do so by purchasing one from the T-shirt fundraising page.

Stephen Amell shared the picture of him and pal Jared Padalecki standing on a dock wearing nothing but board shorts and flexing his muscles. He captioned the photo "Stay Sunday Strong".

"My buddy Jared Padalecki wants you to Always Keep Fighting," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Padalecki has always been open about his struggle with anxiety and depression. During his recent Comic Con appearance, fans paid tribute to his battle against depression by lighting 7,000 candles.

"This is so touching and humbling and honoring," an overwhelmed Padalecki told his fans at the time. "I don't have the proper words to say thank you or how humbled and honored and excited I am and keep it up, guys. Thank y'all so much."

"To a degree there is certainly a taboo attached to it still," Padalecki recently told E! News. "There's still a large portion of the population who just want to say, 'Buck up. Put on a happy face and everything goes away.' For some people, that works."

"For those of us who aren't so blessed, the message 'Always Keep Fighting' is for us," he continued. "Generation by generation, we're slowly stripping away that taboo, that strange dynamic of, 'Oh, there must be a problem with you if you feel this way."
