Former "RHOHB" star Kim Richards allegedly slept in jail after she was caught shoplifting Sunday night.

"The former 'Real Housewife' was booked into jail around 7:30 PM after store security called LAPD to a Target in the Valley. Law enforcement tells us a security guard nabbed her for allegedly scooping up a 'bunch of items' worth more than $600," TMZ reported.

The report said that Kim Richards was released from jail after posting a bail for $5,000 on Monday afternoon.

"It's unclear if she was under the influence at the time of this latest arrest. She was also busted in April for allegedly making a drunken scene at the Beverly Hills hotel," it added.

The alleged shoplifting occurred inside Target's retail store along Sepulveda Boulevard. Kim Richards was apprehended on the basis of a critizen's arrest by a lost prevention officer. Accordingly, the former "RHOBH" star stole toys and merchandise worth $1,000 but was only charged part of the items she loaded into her car.

The former husband of the "RHOHB" star told Entertainment Tonight, "I couldn't imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver. I am in complete shock."

"Guaranteed this must be some kind of mistake, and the facts will come out soon. She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This was not alcohol or drug related," he said.

The arrest of Kim Richards for shoplifting is the latest in the list of troubles for the former "RHOHB" star, who also spent a time in a rehab facility early this year, and also a run-in with the police in April at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Kim Richards faced three misdemeanor raps such as public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer.

"Soon after news broke that Richards re-entered rehab, E! News confirmed that she wouldn't be returning to the hit reality Bravo show as a full-time cast member," the report said.

"According to sources connected to the show, it's possible she may return for a cameo, or a few appearances, but not as a series regular."
