Theo James is notorious for shunning the celebrity part of his job, and Shailene Woodley's onscreen partner reiterated his belief that fame is a necessary evil in the latest interview for the Flickering Myth to talk about "Insurgent."

The English actor said that it's quite difficult to be an actor nowadays with the advances in technology that allows a person from the other side of the globe almost real-minute access to their lives.

"To be honest, one thing that's tricker is what's happening now with how connected we are globally is the blurring of the lines between being an actor as your job and being a celebrity," he said.

"That is tricky. Some people embrace it, some people like and props to them if it works for them."

Ultimately, however, "Insurgent" actor Theo James knows that acting is just a job and all the other trappings that come with it-such as fame, attention and maybe even the special privileges-are "irrelevant."

"I'm still the same person so it hasn't really changed me," said Shailene Woodley's onscreen boyfriend. "It's not like I go to trendy parties, that's not particularly my thing, not that there's anything wrong with it."

"So I don't think it needs to change you unless you want it to. Unless you're Brad Pitt and then you definitely can't go to Costa coffee to pick up a frappucino."

The difficult part, Theo James admits, is how to stay grounded because of the danger of perceiving yourself "through anyone else's eyes."

Back in February, "Insurgent" star Theo James said in an interview with Flaunt magazine that he's not into social media.

Shailene Woodley's partner explained, "I don't have it and I never will. Other actors I know are really good at it and they rock and roll it, but it's not for me."

"If I post a picture of us having a drink now and get loads of views or comments and stuff, then suddenly you're quite exposed and you're in a world of work. I just like being present."
