Chelsea Clinton Buys $10.5M NYC Apartment: Former First Daughter, NBC Correspondent Purchases Property Near Madison Square Park With Hubby

Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mezvinsky are buying a $10.5 million apartment across the street from Madison Square Park, reports the New York Post.

The former first daughter and NBC correspondent signed a contract for the gigantic, 5,00 square foot apartment located at The Whitman last month, sources said.

Chelsea Cinton’s parents, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton toured the apartment, and even posed for photographs with the hard hats working at the building.

According to a source who spoke with the Post, Chelsea, 33, and Mark, 35, live in the neighborhood and discovered the building on their own while strolling in the area one day. “It’s great for them, because it is in a hot neighborhood and it is very private. There aren’t hundreds of neighbors, and there is great security,” added the source.

Chelsea Clinton is endearing herself to the neighborhood, posing with her hubby and famous and powerful parents on a recent tour last week for the construction workers.

The building is located at 21 East 26th Street, and the unit Chelsea Clinton bought has four bedrooms, 6 ½ bathrooms, with the family room having a full view of the park.

The master bathroom is made of Italian marble and the apartment unit also has a home office and media room.

The five-story building itself has one apartment per floor, and has a key-locked elevator. It also has a gym, if ever Chelsea decides to skip her Soul Cycle Classes one night or if Mezvinsky, her husband, is away on the ski slopes.

The apartment is listed under Prudential Douglas Elliman, one of New York’s most prestigious and largest real estate companies. Listing brokers are Melanie Lazenby and Dina Lewis, both of whom declined to comment when the Post reached out for comment.
