Is Selena Gomez's New Hit "Rule the World" About The Star's On-Again-Off-Again Relationship with Justin Bieber? [AUDIO]

Hollywood Records hit recording artist Selena Gomez released a new song Wednesday entitled "Rule the World," the lyrics of which seem to mirror the star's on-again-off-again relationship with pop superstar Justin Bieber.

"Listen to the conscience in my head. I'm conscious but I'm lonely halfway dead. Tired of the things you never, you never said," an excerpt of the first verse goes. "Our love was made to rule the world. You came and broke the perfect girl... Forget you ever knew my name."

"I've dated people that are not in the industry, and it does get really hard and stressful," Gomez said in Harper's Bazaar April issue. "My first boyfriend wasn't, and it all sort of started happening, so I felt bad."

"I believe in love," Gomez told Harpers Bazaar, "Yes, I'm one of those girls."

Selena Gomez's new album is scheduled for release later this month.
