Jennifer Lawrence Goes To Children's Hospital In Montreal; Conducts A Surprise Visit For Patients!

Jennifer Lawrence took time off from her busy schedule to visit a children's hospital in Montreal, Canada where she is currently filming "X-Men: Apocalypse".

According to CBC, the actress visited the Shriners Hospital, which caters to children suffering from chronic conditions, in particular neuromusculoskeletal disorders that affect the nervous system, brain, spinal cord, nerves, as well as muscles, bones, cartilage and joints of the body.

The Oscar-winning actress took a break from her role as Mystique to bring smiles to faces of the patients, even gamely posing for photos with the kids and staff members, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"A very special visitor stopped by our Canada hospital today," said a statement posted on the hospital's Facebook page. "Jennifer Lawrence is in Montreal filming a new movie and she made time to visit some of our #ShrinersCanada kids and staff. Everyone had a great time!"

The unsuspecting patients had genuine smiles on their faces as seen in the photographs posted on Facebook.

Daily Mail noted that the 24-year-old actress did not hold back from signing patients' casts and chatting with the little kids and hospital staff.

It also noted that Jennifer Lawrence visiting a children's hospital is nothing new. Apparently, it is something that's always been part of "The Hunger Games" star's life, as she regularly visits the Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, her hometown.

The "American Hustle" star has been in Montreal for a few weeks now, filming scenes with co-stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac and Nicholas Hoult.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.

JLaw will also be starting on another movie, "Joy", where she reunites with her "Silver Linings Playbook" director David O. Russell and co-stars Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.

She is also slated to appear in a sci-fi drama opposite Chris Pratt entitled "Passengers".

It's a good thing that despite Jennifer Lawrence's tight schedule, she never forgets to visit a children's hospital. Fans say it makes her fit the role of a superhero even more.
