Harper Beckham Using A Pacifier Stirs Controversy, David Beckham Lashes At Critics!

David Beckham has had it apparently with the scrutiny over Harper Beckham using a pacifier.

As reported by Glamour UK, Daddy Beckham took to social media to lash against a report criticizing not only four-year-old Harper's use of a pacifier but also for throwing shade at his parenting skills.

"Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts??" he questioned on a post on Instagram. "Everybody who has children knows that when they aren't feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it's a pacifier so those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people's children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent."

His followers also backed his point with some advising him to ignore the reports. Others, meanwhile, comforted him and encouraged him to stick to how he is as a parent as he was doing it well along with wife Victoria Beckham.

The article, in particular that Daddy Becks lashed at was Mail Online's report on Harper Beckham using a pacifier or dummy. They showed pictures of the little girl with it on. They also cited social media users who questioned it plus had an expert share the health risks for letting the little Beckham continuously use it.

"I can't believe she is still using a dummy," former midwife and expert Clare Byam-Cook explained as quoted by the source above. "If she has a dummy in their mouth at this age, at four, it really can damage her teeth and it is very likely to hinder speech development."

"David and Victoria seem wonderful parents and I'm sure they give Harper lots of attention but, like it or not, they are role models and lots of people will see this and think that having a dummy at this age is normal when it is not," she added.

Parenting expert Judy Reith though was on the same side as Daddy Beckham and explained that Harper's "stressful public situations" may demand for its use.

"Given that she is a child in a well-known family, she may have a little extra comfort from her dummy when they are walking about and cameras are clicking away," she insisted. "The most important thing is that she feels loved, safe, secure and able to engage with the world."

Harper Beckham is David and Victoria's fourth child and only daughter. She has been spotted several times using a pacifier in the past months, according to Hollywood Life. Mail Online has yet to react to Daddy Beckham's statement.
