Joni Mitchell Coma Update: Singer Set To Fully Recover Soon; Official Statement Released!

Legendary musician Joni Mitchell has been previously reported to be in a coma. Now, latest updates about her health point to the positive.

As reported previously, the 71-year-old singer was hospitalized and was in a state of coma. Her close friend, Leslie Morris, has since filed for the guardianship of the singer, as she reportedly does not have any close relatives anymore.

Initial documents about Joni's health were previously published by TMZ. The documents that were reportedly filed by her friend, Morris, details Mitchell's previous condition and was viewed to be something that was a deteriorating one and was almost a lost cause. A part of the documented read that the "Big Yellow Taxi" singer was "unconscious and unable to make any responses, and is therefore unable to provide for any of her personal needs."

Following Joni Mitchell's coma news, it seems that the singer is doing better presently. An article published by A.V. Club claims that Leslie has released an official statement about her friend's current situation.

"Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm," the statement allegedly read, pointing out the cause of Joni being hospitalized. "However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative."

"The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she's speaking well," the statement added. "She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies. She is resting comfortably in her own home and she's getting better each day. A full recovery is expected."

Moreso, latest update from Joni's official site also published the statement released by Leslie.

After the latest update was released, fans were able to breathe well knowing that their music idol is doing better and is even discharged from the hospital already.

According to them, hearing about Joni Mitchell being in a coma is something that caused them to be extremely worried for the singer.
