'Deadliest Catch' Captain, Tony Lara, Dies; Cause Of Death Still Undetermined!

The hit series of Discovery Channel, "Deadliest Catch," has just lost its captain. Tony Lara has been reported to have died saturday morning.

In a report published by The Associated Press, it was claimed that Lara died during a motorcycle rally at Sturgis in South Dakota.

A long-time and expert crab catcher, Lara appeared on the series onboard the boat dubbed as the Cornelia Marie. 

As to the cause of death of the "Deadliest Catch" captain, sources have yet to report on, as messages from Tony Lara's family have yet to return the calls made by the source cited above.

Ron Merwin, who is the Meade County Sheriff, also mentioned to the site that they are awaiting autopsy results to determine the actual cause of death of Lara.

A write-up from the official website of Discovery Channel describes Lara to have been busy with his own business geared towards freighting services.

"There is probably no one out there more suited to take the helm of the Cornelia Marie than Tony Lara," the write-up claimed. "A crabbing veteran, he has recently been running his own freighting business. Tony worked on the boat for 10 years in the 1990's and ran the Cornelia Marie during salmon tendering."

"A good friend of Phil's, he also helped build much of the boat when it was originally fitted for crabbing, and he has the engine room memorized," it further added. "He knows the Cornelia Marie inside and out."

Since the announcement, fans have been taking to their socia media sites to grieve about the sad news, they said that Lara, albeit seen seldomly on the show, had a big impact to the entirety of it. Moreso, they said that Lara is a good captain with a good relationship to his subordinates.
