As reported by Associated Press via Oregon Live, the 33-year-old aspiring actress was stabbed to death last Sunday while she was on a street in Manhattan.

After respondents called 911, Hines was rescued while lying on the street, after which she was rushed to the hospital, particularly Harlem hospital. She was pronounced dead shortly after due to complications arising from multiple stabbed wounds.

The suspect was determined to be a 30-year-old man. He was brought to police custody after being spotted in front of Edena's apartment located at West 162nd street.
