Ellen DeGeneres slammed the divorce rumors by paying tribute to wife Portia de Rossi during the recent Teen Choice Awards where she won the award as Choice Comedian for her own talk show.

The host/actress won the award in a field dominated by men such as Kevin Hart, Jimmy Fallon, George Lopez, Jimmy Kimmel and a fellow comedienne, Amy Smart.

In her speech, Ellen DeGeneres couldn't help but mention that she's celebrating her seventh-year wedding anniversary to wife Portia de Rossi amid rumors that they are headed to divorce.

Her very funny Teen Choice Awards' speech showcased just why Ellen DeGeneres won over her male and female counterparts.

She said, "I won a People's Choice Award; I would think that teens would be in that category. I don't know why teens are not in the 'people' category, but if they're breaking it down, I'd like an award from the elderly and babies-if that's going to happen-to cover everybody."

"The most important thing I wanna say is just really embrace who you are, because being unique is very, very important and fitting in is not all that matters. It's being unique and being who you are. And what an amazing day this is, this is my seven-year wedding anniversary, so happy anniversary."

Elllen DeGeneres also wittily suggested that she left behind her surfboard while on the way to the beach so the token given by the Teen Choice Awards comes in handy.

Portia de Rossi, for her part, shared on Instagram their wedding pictures and one black and white pic showed her leading Ellen DeGeneres before their friends and family members. The photo didn't come with a caption but only the date of the ceremony on Aug. 16, 2008.

Another photo, which also proved that the couple is stronger than ever amid the divorce rumors, showed Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres exchanging their vows.
