Is Margot Robbie taking the Jared Leto school of method acting? The actress is playing Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad," the love interest to the actor's Joker in the same film.

Jared Leto is notorious for imbibing the character of whatever role he plays and subjecting his body to much abuse in the process of physically changing his appearance to suit the character. For instance, in "Dallas Buyers Club," he lost about 40 pounds to play a transsexual living with HIV back in the 1980s.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie was spotted sporting a huge welt on her upper leg in Toronto, where she's filming "Suicide Squad," over the weekend.

"Emerging in Toronto with a female friend, the blonde beauty revealed a pair of heavily bruised legs while wearing skimpy white shorts," Daily Mail said. "Wearing a pale yellow Jimi Hendrix t-shirt with her shorts, she also wore a stylish pair of Nike trainers and sunglasses."

The actress even rolled up the right side of her already short shorts so as not to touch her bruise with the cloth.

Six weeks ago, Margot Robbie shared on Instagram a photo of her enjoying her birthday cake while still dressed as Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad." She captioned the image, "Harley's cake - thank you squad!"

One fan noted, "Oh my god she is going to kill it as harley quinn."

Another said, "She's hot as Harley Quinn."

In an interview for Elle Magazine, Margot Robbie already hinted that she's imbibing the role of Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad" as she couldn't throw away the pet rat that Jared Leto as Joker has given her as a prank.

In her own words, "If Harley [her character in Suicide Squad] got something from Joker, she'd probably cherish it."

The rodent is now named Rat Rat and is living a good life on organic berries ordered from Whole Foods.
