Zayn Malik Turning Into ‘Chris Brown?’ Former Pal Claims Ex One Direction Member Is Now ‘Power Crazy’

One pal of Zayn Malik is worried that the former One Direction crooner is on the path towards self-destruction. The said pal is concerned that the 22-year-old's recent behavior might alienate him from his supporters.

"He's a little boy who needs to grow up. It's really bad for him. He's turning into Chris Brown but without any hits," said the insider to The Sun as reported by Mirror. "He is self-destructing right now and I hope he's got someone there for him. I doubt he has, though, so that's why I'm worried for him."

The source also said that after quitting One Direction, Zayn Malik has been upsetting various people. The friend might be pertaining to the Bradford-born singer's recent Twitter row with Calvin Harris.

The friend added that the former One Direction singer Zayn Malik has changed.

"He has gone power crazy. You can blame other people, like his new management, but really it's him. I don't understand it. He has not had any success as a solo artist yet, so his ego shouldn't be that driven. He has gone mad, power mad."

The 22-year-old recently signed a deal with RCA Records following his decision to leave One Direction in March. Amid the speculations that there is bad blood between him and the remaining One Direction members, Liam Payne confirmed that there isn't.

In an interview with Magic Radio, Liam Payne said that he understands his former bandmate because Zayn Malik wasn't really into One Direction's type of songs.

He said, "One Direction was never Zayn's sort of music so he kind of always wanted to find something else."

"If your heart's not into something, you can't just carry on doing it because of fame and stuff. You have to go and do what you want to do," he continued.

He went on to say that he is excited to hear Zayn Malik's solo album.

"He's got a great voice and he's a very talented young man and we wish him all the best of luck."
