Ciara defended boyfriend Russell Wilson after the NFL player was criticized for being close with her son. The "I Bet" singer also slammed her ex, Future, for his double standards regarding her new relationship.

The R&B diva talked to Gayle King during a recent episode of CBS This Morning. During the guesting, Ciara spoke up about Russell Wilson's closeness with her only child, Future Wilburn Zahir.

She shares the one-year-old with ex-fiance Future. However, the "Just Like Bruddas" rapper blasted the Seattle Seahawks star for using Future Jr to hype his relationship with Ciara.

According to Hollywood Life, the dreadlocked artist particularly got upset after paparazzi photos showed Ciara's son being pushed by Russell Wilson in a stroller.

"At the end of the day, I'm not for the publicity stunt," Future said. "Leave my son out of all the publicity s-t. Just leave him out of your relationship, because we don't need your relationship for anything."

Us Weekly also reported about how Future tweeted again when more photos of his son, Ciara and Russell Wilson were released after his first diss.

"Never make a permanent decision over a temporary circumstance #umtoobossedup," he said.

According to a report from Vibe, Ciara scoffed at the negativity of her ex-fiance, as well as comments of those who are siding with him.

"It's been very interesting to hear what a lot of guys had to say and it's a bit of a doubt standard," she songstress said.

"At one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well at a very young stage in our relationship."

"I was involved very early in the stages of us getting to know each other and that's been a big conversation. Well, what's the difference here?" she pointed out.

E! Online reported about how Ciara stood by Russell Wilson and his devotion to her and Future Jr. She then explained how her son's father is the one who is being difficult.

"I did reach out to my son's father for him and Russell to speak and he didn't want to talk to me," she revealed.

"We didn't get to talk, so that was that. I don't know what more they could expect for me to do than just live my life, and that's what I'm doing."
