Girls' Generation-T-ARA Both Rank High on Japan Oricon Charts

Girl groups Girls' Generation and T-ARA have both released new Japan albums and have both ranked high on the Oricon charts.

According to Oricon, T-ARA's new song, "Bunny Style" was seen at number 2 on the single daily chart. "Bunny Style" was released yesterday and sold 40,705 copies in just one day.

Girls' Generation also released on the same day, their 'Best Selection Nonstop Remix' album that included 21 of their hit songs. This album hit the daily charts at number 4.

Singer IU was also seen on the chart at number 9 with her new album as well.

With all the artists ranking in the top 10 on the Oricon chart we can see just how popular K-Pop is.

T-ARA's new album will be released in a unique way with 10 different versions. 3 of the versions will be for the three unit groups and the remaining 7 albums will be one for each individual member.

T-ARA has been known for their popularity in Japan starting with one of their hit songs, "Bo Peep Bo Peep." This song has ranked number 1 on the Oricon weekly chart before.

T-ARA is currently in Japan and will be staying for about a month to visit different cities and promote their new album.

T-ARA debuted in 2009 and recently was hit with a few crises last year. They have now shifted their focus more on overseas activities.

Girls' Generation's new album was mixed by m-flo member Taku.

Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 through SM Entertainment. They recently held their second Japan arena tour in February.

On January 1 of this year, Girls' Generation made a shocking comeback with their song, "I Got a Boy." They threw away their heels and brought out their sneakers and showed off a tough and charismatic image that they have never revealed before.
