To much dismay, one of the world's favorite model is quitting the industry. Cara Delevingne has opened up and talked about her body image struggles while working as a model, and how her psoriasis has contributed to her decision to quit the fashion industry.

The 22-year-old  English model sat down for an interview with  London's The Times newspaper and explained why she was giving up her lucrative career.

"I am not doing fashion work any more, after having, like, psoriasis and all that stuff," she said. "Modelling just made me feel a bit hollow after a while. It didn't make me grow at all as a human being. And I kind of forgot how young I was ... I felt so old."

According to Elle.com, "I was, like, fight and flight for months. Just constantly on edge," she said. "It is a mental thing as well because if you hate yourself and your body and the way you look, it just gets worse and worse."

In fact, her stress became so overwhelming that it contributed to her development of psoriasis. makeup artists had to paint foundation over her breakouts for fashion shows and photoshoots.

"People would put on gloves and not want to touch me because they thought it was, like, leprosy or something," Delevingne told The Times.

The fact of advertising campaigns from Chanel, Burberry, Topshop, and Mango, the young former model is attempting to chip her way into Hollywood.

"Paper Towns," Cara Delevingne's silver screen debut, picked up $12.5 million at the box office in July. The film, based on the John Green novel also starred Natt Wolff.

Cara will also appear in the DC Comics superhero flick "Suicide Squad," which hits theaters August 2016.
