After announcing the divorce with Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert needed a drastic change.

The country star surprised fans when she shared on her Instagram a selfie showing her sporting platinum blonde hair. She captioned the image, "'What doesn't kill you only makes you blonder' Thanks @leewright_hairstylist and @stylehousesalon for the new do! #platinum #blondeshavemorefun."

One fan gushed, "You are so pretty and a great role model for millions of girls and woman and personaly (sic) I am only 11 but I was going through a rough time and all I did was pray and listen to your music because you are so inspireing (sic) to me and I just want to say thanks and please answer this comment in my dm that is all I could ever dream of."

Another referenced Miranda Lambert's divorce with Blake Shelton as the fan wrote, "Sorry for what you're going through. His loss. You are beautiful! Love the new look! :)"

"Tbh you and Blake were perfect for each other. You were both so similar and it looked like you guys had so much fun together but I guess everything ends sometime right?" a fan observed.

Instagram user Stephanie Horton can only relate as she commented, "In the middle of divorce/custody battle. I just chopped all my hair off and went blonder. It must be a 4 yrs then divorce vibe thing :) #freedom !!!!"

Celeb stylist Lee Wright dished to Us Weekly on when Miranda Lambert arrived at a decision to change her hair.

Apparently, they already talked about going lighter, which he described as "very bright, dimensional blonde," a few months ago, even before the divorce was announced.

"When I started doing her hair a couple of months ago, we talked about going lighter again," he said.

But when Miranda Lambert visited her again a few days ago, Blake Shelton's former wife was set on changing her hair.

"We were on the same page," Wright added. "I was like, 'Let's go really blonde again,' and she said, 'Yeah, yeah!'"
