First it was reported that Michael Weatherly will executive produce "Little Women," now it's "NCIS" season 13 actor Mark Harmon's turn to don on a new hat with "The Red Circle."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Harmon was tapped by CBS in the show about Navy Seals instructor Brandon Webb, who will also serve as executive producer, based on the novel "The Red Circle: My Life in the Navy SEAL Sniper Corps and How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen."

The article said, "The CBS drama is told through the point of view of an experienced but newly promoted Navy SEAL who has joined a troubled platoon. The story is inspired by Webb's experience serving with SEAL Team 3, Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment sniper cell."

"He completed his last tour at the Naval Special Warfare Center Sniper Course, where he served as the West Coast sniper course manager."

The report about Mark Harmon joining another show apart from "NCIS" season 13 came on the heels of the article from Deadline which confirmed Michael Weatherly executive producing the classic, "Little Women," for CW.

Deadline said in its report, "Little Women is described as a hyper-stylized, gritty adaptation of the 1868 novel by Louisa May Alcott, in which disparate half-sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy band together in order to survive the dystopic streets of Philadelphia and unravel a conspiracy that stretches far beyond anything they have ever imagined - all while trying not to kill each other in the process."

Alexis Jolly will pen the script for "Little Women" who will also co-executive produce the show along with "NCIS" season 13 actor Michael Weatherly.

"NCIS" season 13 fans, however, need not worry as Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly are not leaving behind their characters in the procedural drama. Harmon has just signed a contract with CBS reprising his role as Agent Gibbs.
