Psy's New Single Is Finally Finished

Early Sunday morning Psy tweeted that he is one step closer to revealing his new single.

Psy posted "Finally I got the right track along with the right dance move!!! and Funny ass Video concept as(s) well!!! #IloveMyJob" to his Twitter account in the early hours of the morning on Sunday.

It seems that after spending the past week or so reworking his next single, the work is finally done and there is a lot to be expected from the new song.

After some linguistic misunderstandings last week, Psy announced that he would be changing the song so as not to offend fans in the Arab world. He went back to work on the track, finagling the lyrics, changing up the music and beats, and essentially created a whole new song because of some confusion around the world about the meaning and implications of the song originally named "Assarabia."

Already a prominent figure in the worldwide music industry, he did not want to create a rift between himself and his fans so decided a new version of the song would be more appropriate.

Sunday's tweet means all the hard work is finally over and the world can rest easy that the new song will be awesome and include some fantastic dance moves.

Now that the song has been finalized and the dance choreographed, it is time to focus on the music video.

As we saw with "Gangnam Style," Psy has a knack for creating very imaginative concepts and lively videos, and it is hard to doubt that when this new song hits YouTube, it will be accompanied by something truly memorable.

It is also nice to see that even with the stress of having to change the song so soon before his Seoul 'Happening' concert on April 13, he really does enjoy what he does - definitely the mark of a good entertainer.

On March 21 he posted a picture of himself caught on surveillance camera in the offices at YG Entertainment (his Korean label).  In it, Psy appears to be very stressed out.  But now that the song is finished, maybe he can relax a little.

There has been no confirmation about what the new song's title is, and preparations for the show are being kept secret, but after such a megahit, it is likely that Psy has pulled out all the stops.

The 'Happening' concert will take place in Seoul on April 13.  In addition to the 50,000 fans who will be there to witness it live, the show will also be broadcast to the world via YouTube.
