Supreme Team Is Back! The Rap Duo Returns With New Single, New Image

Fans of Supreme Team have been patiently waiting for a new release from the hip-hop duo for two years, and the wait is finally over with the release of two new singles, "Stay Still" and "이릿 (Irit)."

Both tracks are part of the Single album, Thanks 4 the Wait, Supreme Team's comeback after a 2 year hiatus. The title is their way of thanking fans for remaining loyal despite the long wait for them to make new music. The duo had been temporarily out of commission following E-Sens's November 2011 drug charge for smoking marijuana.

Supreme Team appeared publicly together for the first time since reuniting to perform at the Amoeba Culture agency concert, 2013 Amoebahood Concert, on March 16 and 17 at the Olympic Park Hall in Seoul where they debuted the title track. It was a meaningful experience for the duo and their fans who supported them during the hiatus.

"Stay Still" is also the latest track in the Amoeba Culture project NOWorkend, a series from the Korean hip-hop label that has been garnering high praise over the past few weeks. The song has been extremely well received and is ranking high on all the music charts including No. 1 on Naver Music and its current spot at No. 4 on the Melon chart.

The single, which features singer-songwriter Crush of VV:D, and shows a matured Supreme Team with a newly evolved style. Simon D and E-Sens appear passionate yet humble. The song is melodic and easy to listen to, which is partly to credit for its instantaneous popularity. Taking life to the next level, staying cool, and remaining passionate are the themes the song is based around and it gives listeners an encouraging message not to worry about what will happen tomorrow.

The B-side track from Thanks 4 the Wait, "Irit," is a chaotic mash-up song executed with the powerful lyrical stylings of the two members.

While there have still been no official announcements about an upcoming album, E-Sens was spotted recently working on new material.

The two new songs will just have to hold fans over for now. But if "Stay Still" and "Irit" are any indication of what to can expect from Supreme Team's next studio album, we are all in for a real treat.
