Joan Rivers' Apartment Disrespected By New Owner? New York Penthouse ‘Ripped Apart’

Joan Rivers' former apartment is allegedly being disrespected by its new owner. According to a report from Mirror UK, the late comedienne's New York penthouse is being ripped apart by the Middle Eastern royalty who purchased it.

The new owner is reportedly the son of the late Saudi Arabian King Fahd, Muhammad bin Fahd. He is also said to be the former governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Ever since Muhammad bin Fahd moved in to Joan Rivers' £18 million apartment, the once plush place is said to be undergoing drastic changes.

Even the TV icon's neighbors are reportedly alarmed at the amount of renovations being done on the 5,100-square-foot, four-bedroom penthouse.

"Ever since Prince Fahd bought the home nearly two months ago, he has had designers and contractors in and out of the place," an insider said.

"He is ripping it to shreds. Everyone is surprised because the place had a certain French look, it was very specific, and one would think the buyer would be into that. And now he doesn't want that."

Daily Mail also reported about the seemingly unnecessary changes that the new owner is doing to Joan Rivers' former apartment.

"Joan sure did love her condo, it was her palace and she felt like the queen there. So it's pretty surreal that a real-life king is moving in no," said the source.

"The whole Palace Of Versailles thing is going. It looks like all traces of Joan's style will be erased."

Sources pointed out that it was "a shame" that the style of Joan Rivers' apartment is being changed entirely. Nonetheless, the new owner seems to have no qualms about the renovations.

"Joan Rivers' condo is dying. But that is life, it is constantly changing," a source sighed.

"Still, it feels weird."

"The home will have a new, more update look. Top designers are being used," an insider shared.
