'Devious Maids' May Possibly Be Renewed For Season 4

The ratings for season 3 of "Devious Maids" continue to falter after an amazing pilot season for the Lifetime series. Will the network renew the show for season 4 or cancel it together?

According to TV Series Finale, the premiere episode for season 3 didn't fare well compared to the premiere season 2 episode as the numbers are down about a quarter.

"Thus far, this season of Devious Maids has been averaging a 0.46 demo rating with 1.32 million. That's down by more than 25% year-to-year and obviously not a good sign for the show's future. (Season one averaged 0.89 in the demo with 2.53 million)," it said.

Nevertheless, the website believes that it's going "Devious Maids" is going to be renewed for season 4.

"Despite the serious declines in viewership, it's still their highest-rated scripted series - and they only have two left," the site said.

Brianna Brown earlier talked to Wet Paint on the possibility of "Devious Maids" being renewed for season 4.

She said, "It's up to the network, of course. It's up to Lifetime. I know the numbers are good and that's great so hopefully our numbers will continue to climb."

"That obviously plays a big part. I think it'll get picked up another season just because I think it's really strong right now - but crazier things have happened."

But she hoped that it would be picked up again by Lifetime considering what creator March Cherry has done to showcase Latina women.

"I just love the tone of his shows and that's why the offer to be on Devious Maids was so amazing," Brianna explained. "He knows how to write strong female characters that are strong and flawed."

"We have enough crying wives whose husbands cheat on them that are victims. We need strong female characters."

Watch out for more updates on whether "Devious Maids" will be renewed for season 4 or cancelled.
