As far as Serena Williams is concerned, Common and Drake don't have a problem. After photos came out that showed Serena Williams and Drake, 28 kissing during dinner in Cincinnati on August 23. Neither Drake nor Serena confirmed that they were an item, gossip outlets have been waiting for Common, Serena's ex-boyfriend, to weigh in.

Serena Williams and Common dated on and off for two years between 2008 and 2010.

"Serena is a friend of mine," Drake told TMZ. "As long as she's happy, I'm good. That's my friend. We dated. That's been done a long time ago. Now we're friends. She's doing super good on the tennis. As long as she happy, I'm good."

Common hasn't always been so good with Drake. On Common's track "Sweet" from his album "The Dreamer/The Believer," he said Drake "ain't no Frank Sanatra."

The 43-year-old Oscar winning rapper didn't mention Serena Williams' new boyfriend by name on the track but opened up about it later.

"He opened his mouth and said some things, so if that's what he want-all that subliminal [talk]...you could do that too, but say it now," Drake told Sway In The Morning.  "The verse is about me but when you hear some of the stuff on the chorus it's like you can't help but think about dude and I guess that's what he felt. So at the end of day he fits in that category, he already embraced it, so wear it."
