2PM will be making their official comeback in May, JYP Entertainment announced on Wednesday.

Fans around the world have been anxiously waiting for the return of the dynamic six-member boy group, who have been on hiatus for the past two years to focus on promoting themselves in Japan.

The guys are said to have raised the bar with the upcoming album and will return with a mature sound and more 'beastly' attitude.

Jin Young Park, more commonly known by the initials JYP, is the mastermind behind 2PM as well as other popular groups, the Wonder Girls, 2AM, and MissA. He has written many hit songs for his groups, as well as having a very prolific singing career himself.

It comes as no surprise then that JYP himself has written and composed 2PM's new comeback song.

In a statement released by JYP Entertainment this week the details of the song and the forthcoming album were confirmed.

"The title song of 2PM's new album that will be revealed in May has been decided as the song that J.Y. Park wrote and composed. You'll be able to see an upgraded 2PM. Since it's their comeback in 2 years, they will be showing a different type of music and stage from the basic 2PM. Songs that the members composed themselves will be included in the album."

Furthermore, a Korean concert is in the works for 2PM to promote their new album domestically and has been set for June 21 and 22.

The 2PM comeback teaser trailer was also played abroad in both New York City's Times Square and London's Piccadilly.

International fans were encouraged to tweet images of the comeback trailer experience to @jypnation with the hashtag #2PMtrailer.

After spending the last two years building up their fanbase outside of Korea, it is clear that 2PM is ready and eager to go full force with their new album later this spring.
