Angelina Jolie Latest News: Brad Pitt’s Wife Says ISIS Uses Rape As Terrorism To Conflict Zones

Angelina Jolie is making news today as her latest speech revealed that ISIS is using rape as the center of terrorism.

Brad Pitt's wife, who is not only a known Hollywood actress but is also a special envoy for refugee issues of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), appeared before the British parliamentary committee where she shared the plight of little girls affected in warn-torn areas.

"The most aggressive terrorist group in the world today ...(is) using (rape) as a centre point of their terror and their way of destroying communities and families," she said.

The "Maleficent" star, who is also an advocate against sexual violence in conflict zones, said that she had talked to girls who have been raped, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Angelina Jolie even related how a 13-year-old Iraqi girl was sold for 6 pounds sterling, together with her friends.

"I think the most important thing to understand is what it's not. It's not sexual, it is a violent brutal terrorising weapon."

According to United Nations, thousands of women, including young girls, have been abducted and raped by the Islamic State. The victims were also reported to have been sold into sexual slavery.

"And unfortunately it is everywhere, in and out of conflict in every country basically. I can't think of one where there is not this issue," Angeline Jolie said about the latest news on the sexual violence issue.

Angelina Jolie spoke about the issue amid the latest news about Syria, where thousands of refugees try to flee away, The Daily Mail said in their report.

The actress appeared before the British parliamentary committee to present the three-year findings of the initiative launched in 2012 to prevent sexual violence conflict. Angelina Jolie led the initiative together with former British foreign secretary William Hague in 2012.

Angelina Jolie's partnership with the former foreign secretary has also led them to pursue justice for the sexual violence victims from over 150 nations who signed in their campaign.
