Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly trying to keep her marriage to Portia de Rossi intact amid the divorce rumors by doing everything she can to make her happy.

That includes realizing the "Scandal" star's dream of being a director some day.

A source told Radar Online, "Ellen has every intention of making Portia's directing dream come true and she and her production company are actively looking for a script for Portia to make her directorial debut on."

However, Ellen DeGerenes allegedly also wants a role in the future film that Portia de Rossi will direct by standing in as the executive producer.

According to the tabloid, the talk show host's promise to find a film for Portia de Rossi to direct "has had "a positive effect on their relationship."

"Ellen's hands-on approach has made things way better between them. Portia's always happier when she's working and directing a TV show or movie has been a lifelong goal," the source added.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's marriage has been flooded with divorce rumors even if they consistently deny the reports.

In March, the comedian told the Today show that she couldn't fathom that somebody would make up a story about their impending divorce.

"There's never been a point where we were breaking up or divorcing or fighting," she continued. "None of these stories are even remotely true."

Ellen DeGeneres said that she's not really up to date with all the divorce rumors surrounding her and Portia de Rossi's marriage, but the news eventually find its way to her.

She explained, "I don't know the magazines and I don't have a publicist, so I don't know. I have a very small team around me...I don't want to know that stuff, so when someone does bring it up to me, I'm like, 'Really?' I don't know how many times they've said that we've broken up, but I know that they have."
