Did Their Love Of Africa Bring Prince Harry And Chelsy Davy Back Together?

Rumors are circulating that Prince Harry and ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy have rekindled their romance during his three-month trip in Africa. Did their love for the continent bring the redheaded royal and the Zimbabwean-born back together?

According to the Daily Beast, reports from the Sun claim that while Prince Harry was in Africa promoting conservation causes, the royal met up with his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, and the two are now "openly discussing giving their relationship another go."

The timing couldn't be more perfect: Chelsy split up with her boyfriend, jeweler Charles Goode, in January. Prince Harry has been saying publicly that he's looking for a partner.

"It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure," he said in New Zealand in May. "But, you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens."

Africa is special for both of them: it's the continent where Chelsy was born and Harry is very active in his charity organizations in Africa, such as Halo Trust, his mother Princess Diana's anti-land mine charity.

Prince Harry dated Chelsy between 2004 and 2010. But it seems like he can never get over her. Even though he's dated other girls from Cressida Bonas to Camilla Thurlow, he keeps coming back to Chelsy. As we previously reported, some claim that Chelsy Davy is Prince Harry's Camilla - he just can't let go of her.

Prince Harry and ex girlfriend Chelsy Davy dated on and off for seven years, continuing to run in each other's circles and staying friends even after their break up in 2010.

"They have mutual friends so they're always at the same events, but there was something about meeting before Christmas. Since then it's been very flirty. Everyone in their circle jokes that Chelsy is Harry's Camilla because, like Camilla for his father, Chelsy is the one woman Harry could never get over," an insider told British magazine Grazia.

Prince Charles and Camilla married in 2005, but there was significant distaste with their union from hardcore Princess Diana fans. However, many believe that Camilla is Charles' one true love and have grown to accept her. Polls in 2005 found that between 57 percent and 73 percent of Brits opposed Charles' new wife being known as queen. A new poll conducted by Comres for CNN found that only 35 percent now oppose Camilla being known as queen. Nearly one in four said they liked her more now than they did 10 years ago.
