"Equals" star Kristen Stewart finally opened up about the heartbreak following the split with Robert Pattinson.

Speaking to the Daily Beast, Alicia Cargile's girlfriend admitted that the split was "incredibly painful."

"Ugh, f--cking kill me. It was a really good time for both of us to make this movie," she said. "Not all of my friends have been through what I've been through, or what some people have tasted at a relatively-speaking young age, and we were not expected to do anything."

"Everything that we did was explorative, and a meditation on what we already knew."

Kristen Stewart also said that his co-star Nicolas Hoult can also relate to the pain after his breakup with Jennifer Lawrence.

"We all felt akin by how much we've been through, and to utilize that is so scary. And to acknowledge it, reassess, and jump back into it?" she said. "Usually you want to move on. But at least we could use some of that for some good."

Speaking to E! News, Kristen Stewart said that she's very transparent and oftentimes that got her into trouble.

"I definitely wear my heart on my sleeve," she said. "Sometimes that provides a little bit of a tougher road, but for me it's definitely more preferable."

Talking about "Equals," Kristen Stewart hinted that her relationship and eventual split with Robert Pattinson was the inspiration for her.

She explained, "It's first love. It's such a grand look at awakening. You take every first you ever had and you bottle it up in a moment and the devastating effect is something like anyone who has fallen in love at a young age has felt."

Although it was difficult to revisit her split with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart said that it's "the whole deal, man...The work that I'm most interested in, it always comes from a real place."
