'Fast And Furious 8' Cast Michelle Rodriguez Excited To Start Filming! Actress Spills Movie Details

Vin Diesel previously said that there's going to be a "Fast and Furious 8" and now cast member Michelle Rodriguez has dished some details as filming starts in the summer.

"Yeah, we're trying to round up the troops," she told E! News.

Not a few speculated that the franchise would die along with Paul Walker, whose likeness had to be computer generated in the emotional last scene with Vin Diesel. But Michelle Rodriguez said doing "Fast and Furious 8" would be the ideal way to pay tribute to the late actor.

"We need a good reason to move on after Paul. And being that this is a global franchise now, it's not just the American baby, it's important that we consider moving on and take it seriously," she said.

"But for us as a cast, I think we need a reason and it needs to have heart, so hopefully we'll find it, you know?" she went on to add. "And somebody who's passionate about directing it-I think that's the most important thing is finding a good director."

Michelle Rodriguez earlier said that Paul Walker's death hit her hard that she lost herself for a moment.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michelle Rodriguez said, "I actually went on a bit of a binge. I went crazy a little bit ... I went pretty crazy. A lot of the stuff I did last year I would never do had I been in my right mind."

The "Fast and Furious 8" cast member continued, "I felt like nothing I could do could make me feel alive, so I just kept pushing myself harder and harder. I was traveling and I was having sex. And I was just trying to ignore everything that I was feeling."

During the Teen Choice Awards, as reported by Digital Spy, cast member Vin Diesel said that "Fast and Furious 8" will have a working title of "Fast 8" and is expected to be released in theaters on April 14, 2017.
