Ellen DeGeneres Having Children? Host Changes Mind As She Tweets About It?

Ellen DeGeneres has been firm on her stand about not having children with wife Portia De Rossi. She even recently posted something about children on social media just weeks after launching her Gap Kids collection.

In her post on Twitter on Thursday, the TV host shared a vine clip of a toddler, who spilled some blueberry smoothie on the body and the floor.

"Uh-oh," the baby said on the clip.

"This is why I don't have children," she wrote jokingly. "Or blueberry smoothies."

While some agreed with Ellen DeGeneres on her thoughts on children, other did not. Some said the mess that kids create were some of the fun parts of parenting.

Last June, an item on the National Enquirer revealed that the couple were already thinking of having children when they experienced some marriage troubles.

"They needed time away to discuss how to save their relationship -- and decided it could be a baby!" a source said then.

Neither DeGeneres nor Portia De Rossi addressed the rumors.

Just last month, the TV host also launched a Gap Kids collection sending rumors that she might be thinking about kids now. The reason for the launch though was for the benefit of all kids often victimized by stereotypes.

""When I was growing up I didn't have a lot of choices, as most kids don't," DeGeneres shared to Mashable about clothing. "It really starts when you're young. It starts when you're able to express yourself."

"Hopefully young girls are going to get empowered by this, which is my goal," she added.

The TV host has admitted she does not resent children. Last March, she clarified on the "Today" show why she and wife Portia De Rossi were hesitant of children.

"I love kids," Ellen DeGeneres told Matt Lauer about the issue of having children as quoted by E! Online. "But that's such a big commitment. And it seems long-term. It seems like a commitment that you have to stick with."
